Magpul Industries, much known for its polymer AR-15 devices, has stirred up the precision rifle market with the introduction of an entry-level, but feature-rich, rifle stock for the Remington 700 action and drop-in magazine well upgrade.
The Magpul Hunter 700 Stock puts to use a cast aluminum bedding block from the recoil lugs to the tang of the grip, allowing the barrel to “free float.” This allows the stock to become a true drop-in option, with no bedding required. The barrel channel is broad enough to accommodate Krieger “Heavy Palma” diameter barrels with no modification.
This stock is developed primarily for hunting uses and is not intended to replace tactical chassis systems.
The Magpul Bolt Action Magazine Well is a natural improvement to the Remington 700 and Hunter 700 Stock. Individuals take out their bottom metal and insert the well into the Hunter 700 stock, and they can now use Accuracy International pattern short-action magazines.
It retails for $69.95 and will be available this summer.
